Observation

My initial observation was that the pill is a medical treatment, yet people who stop taking the pill rarely benefit from medical follow-up. However, teaching a body used to receiving hormones on a daily basis to live without them is like weaning.

That's why, in order to work on this subject, I based myself on this question: "How can we inform people who are hesitant about their choice of contraception, and how can we support those who stop using it, so that they can make the most of this hormonal withdrawal?" πŸ‘΅πŸ»πŸ‘©πŸΌπŸ‘©πŸΏ

Initial research

The pill represents a significant advancement catering to a specific demographic, yet few individuals are truly aware of its undesirables effects. Being better informed could alter the perspectives of many. Furthermore, those choosing to discontinue its use lack proper medical follow-up.

After doing some research, I came to these points:

- There were real risks regarding the use of the pill and a lack of information regarding side effects.❔

- A growing number of individuals are ending their use of the pill; however, as of now, there is currently no mandatory medical follow-up.βš•οΈ

Feedback

Currently, I still see several areas for improvement for Happilland. For example, simplifying certain features for testing purposes to ensure that only the essential elements are retained. Next, I would like to enhance inclusivity, both in my wording and in considering different user profiles. Additionally, I aim to work on data synchronization when transitioning from a cycle tracking application to Happilland, in order to improve the user experience. Finally, I would like to establish a co-stop principle to share the mental load. πŸ’Š

‍
The aspects that might still require attention before releasing the application would be the absence of precise hormonal level calculations without blood tests, the complexity in understanding scientific data, and uncertainties regarding data management processes.

Nevertheless, I am pleased to have been able to deploy such a comprehensive application in such a short time. This experience has taught me to take user feedback into account, and I am generally satisfied with the response I have been able to provide to my initial challenge.
